Abstract:

Sheep-Walk 2 is a political montage which challenges the normalisation of State violence - as inflicted by the Western powers (in the form of NATO) on the civilian populations of the Middle East (Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya etc) - within the mainstream media. By inverting the familiar myths and stereotypes of a State media in thrall to ruling class ways of seeing, knowing and telling, this radical non-linear montage encourages us to (re)consider the agenda-corrupted language of contemporary society and its constant blurring of the dividing lines between violence and self-defence, resistance and terrorism and liberation and imperial conquest.
