Abstract
The University of Cumbria's Dr Ross Armstrong, Associate Professor in Musculoskeletal and Population health presented to the University College Hospitals London NHS Foundation Trust regarding exercise and chronic pain management. The event was well attended by physiotherapists from across London, many of whom work in chronic pain management clinics, and provoked some thought-provoking questions. One of the main areas of consideration was how to get individuals with chronic pain involved in exercise and how to avoid the fear of movement. Several conditions were considered including fibromyalgia, arthritis, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and there was consideration of pain management strategies. Some of the discussion focused on Ross's research with Ehlers Danlos patients and he looks forward to working with the trust again in the future.
