Abstract
The current research reviews and analyses the literature on two forms of outdoor learning - Forestry Schools in England and Udeskole in Denmark - the approach from which the English model originates. The exploration of the different pedagogical principles takes place through a comparative trans-cultural framework that draws from Brookes and Dahle's theoretical frame (2007) and considers how adopted pedagogies reflect and refract the culture in which they are embedded.
