Abstract

Professor Diane Cox will share with us her journey and the research journey of the University over the last 10 years. The University's research community has grown in both size and stature; our focussed activity is grounded in the real world with a focus on place and applied research linking with industry and the community. We deliver research of national and international importance that addresses the challenges of our time, and by providing research-connected programmes of study. Our outputs have impacts on society, the economy and cultural activity and, most importantly, enrich both our undergraduate/postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes. Professor Cox will share her perspective on our growth and the next steps in our journey, alongside our partners and stakeholders in Cumbria and elsewhere.
