Abstract

This project proposes research to identify the day to day role of the advanced nurse practitioner (ANP) / military nurse practitioner (MNP) in the British Army. It proposes a mixed methods study utilising single stage purposive sampling and an online administered survey to gather information from serving MNPs. Ethical considerations, recruitment, rigour, data collection and analysis methods for this study are discussed; and possible outcomes and future research possibilities are addressed. This proposal has not yet been submitted to the ethics committee for consideration.
