Abstract

This article, the fourth in our series on the power of narratives, focuses on the practitioner’s story and the value of self-reflexivity to help us understand our own stories and the way they are shaping us. Engaging with the interpretation of our own narratives begins the process of sense-making and an understanding of the impact of the practitioner’s experiences, both at a personal level and on professional practice.
