Abstract
The University of Cumbria’s apprenticeship provision has grown significantly over the last five years. We now have over 2000 apprentices and are working with over 200 employers. Apprenticeship programmes are governed by different funding rules and regulatory requirements, meaning that these programmes feature elements that are not seen within our non-apprenticeships provision. Our apprenticeships metrics are strong, our learners are performing well and are employers are feeding back to us on the high quality of our provision. This session will set out some of the features of our apprenticeship programmes which are working very effectively to support learner success, and learner and employer satisfaction. Are there opportunities to apply some of these features to our wider provision?
