(Contact the author)Abstract
The chapter explains the TASC (Thinking Actively in a Social Context) model and how it can be used in RE. The model encourages asking questions, investigation, drawing conclusions, evaluation, reflection and expression. The TASC model is used to explore a Hindu concept of Brahman. Other practical lesson ideas drawing on the TASC model include visits, dance, music, drama and poetry embracing critical and creative thinking strategies. The chapter draws on theoretical ideas and empirical data to provide insights into the advantages of using the TASC model.
