Abstract
Health and Society Knowledge Exchange (HASKE), based at the University of Cumbria, was commissioned by the North Cumbria Social Prescribing/Personalised Care Steering Group to conduct an evaluation of the Clear Your Head Kick About sessions in Copeland, Cumbria.
This evaluation aimed to explore the experiences of the Clear Your Head Kick About group members and how their participation in the football sessions had impacted on their general health and wellbeing.
The evaluation showed that the Clear Your Head Kick About group is a successful social prescribing initiative that provides the opportunity for adults in Copeland to improve their physical and mental health and social wellbeing through having a regular kickabout in a relaxed and supportive setting.
