Rich Johnson, University of Cumbria Associate Professor in Science and Environment, discusses ongoing research and public engagement activities in the Indian Himalayan states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. With international cross-sector partners this portfolio adopts an interdisciplinary lens to develop new understanding of historical flood occurrence and impacts, alongside developing policy-practice measures with local communities to enhance disaster resilience in the face of hazards.
