Abstract

Heather Marples and Mic Mayhew take a quick fire look into the achievements and complexities of the BOOM reintroduction project. Covering the success and lessons learned from a selection of our projects, such as Sundews, Green Winged Orchid and the pine marten translocation. Back On Our Map (BOOM) is a pioneering project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and hosted by the University of Cumbria. The project worked with communities to reintroduce a suite of locally threatened or extinct species to South Cumbria. Morecambe Bay Partnership worked alongside the University to deliver this project.
