Abstract
Doris Rohr's 'ultima Thule': journal and drawings. An account of the artist's journey by train as far north as possible in mainland Britain. The sea is a multivalent backdrop to the exploration of mental and physical space. An attempt to get beyond the obvious controversies of the nuclear power stations requiring vast amounts of seawater on the shores of the British Isles.
