Abstract
"Negotiated Practice and the Socialisation of Art" was a conference presentation about Kelsey and Taylor's ongoing collaborative practice and its various manifestations contextualised within the wider themes of the artists' relationship to their own skills, to other artists and performers, to the society they work within and the question of who owns cultural experience. The artists propose a "viral" model that can interact and integrate its creative methodology throughout the various structures of society, with artists working in a non-hierarchical way with others - at the full extent of their creativity - to facilitate expression and genuine collaboration.
