Abstract

James Stephens is Head of Library Services and University Librarian at the University of Cumbria. James will be joining us this year at Race 2B Conference 2022 to give us a talk, discussing the “University of Sanctuary – Education”. A number of UK universities are now recognised as Universities of Sanctuary. The University of Cumbria is beginning a journey to join them this academic year. This talk will explore how we will work alongside the University of Sanctuary organisation to offer opportunities of higher education to those seeking a place of safety and security.
