Abstract
Ian Corrie, Honorary Colonel of 335 Medical Evacuation Regiment and a Principal Lecturer in Nursing Health and Professional Practice at the University of Cumbria, is interviewed in this feature about being in charge of a collaborative exercise in which the University of Cumbria's paramedic training team held a multidisciplinary training weekend at its Ambleside campus on 8-9 December 2018. As well as the use of practical clinical scenarios, the training weekend was also used to provide leadership and development training for senior members of the regiment. Corrie describes how the University's paramedic lecturers supported the delivery of this weekend (jointly with Kendal Mountain Rescue Team), which utilised the University's clinical skills labs where NHS paramedics are trained.
