Abstract

This chapter looks at the significance and curation of knowledge in a range of commercial settings, focusing on tourism enterprises and rural tourism enterprises specifically. It shows that organizations, in this case rural tourism enterprises, can benefit from carefully managing and nurturing their knowledge resources and processes. The chapter uses mini case-studies from Cumbria (England, UK) to provide examples and applications of theory.
