Abstract

In this open lecture Professor Jem Bendell, founder of the Institute for Leadership and Sustainability (IFLAS), shared insights from the fields of innovation and enterprise, to show how major changes have occurred in the past and can occur today. Drawing on examples from fashion, finance, the sharing economy and education, Professor Bendell explained his theory of elegant disruption, which extends management theories on disruptive innovation to include aspirations and values.
